Never be afraid of asking your doctor lots of questions. It’s the best way to learn about managing asthma. Write a list of questions before you see your doctor, or print the list below and take it to your next appointment.
Tell your doctor as much as you can about your asthma or your child’s asthma, so that you and the doctor can discuss and agree on the best and most appropriate treatment.

It is important that you find a doctor who can help you by explaining how you should manage your or your child’s asthma and who can answer your questions. If you are not happy with your doctor, ask friends if they have someone they could recommend.
Once you find a doctor you are comfortable with, stick with them. The better they know you and your history, the more they will be able to help you manage your health and meet your needs.
